IS YOUR CHOCOLATE... DIRTY OR CLEAN?

What if we said… chocolate could be healthy? Yes, it's a superfood. 

 

The health benefits of chocolate that is made from high-quality cacao are vast. It’s loaded with antioxidants, B vitamins, magnesium and more. Dark chocolate has been shown to lower levels of the stress hormone cortisol, raise serotonin levels, improve brain function, lower inflammation and more.

 

At Dirty Bean, we work closely with our partners around the world to bring you high quality chocolate made with real ingredients that preserve the cacao’s integrity and natural nutritional density. 

 

Dirty Bean chocolate is also organic, fair trade and sustainably sourced from cacao farms.

IS YOUR CHOCOLATE VEGAN?

All our bars are vegan. Some dark chocolate still contains milk powder, but ours does not. Instead, we make a couple "milk-style" bars with plant-based ingredients.

HOW IS DIRTY BEAN CHOCOLATE SWEETENED?

One of the most significant changes we can make to improve wellbeing is to drop refined and overly-processed sugars from our diets. This is one of the most powerful ways we know of to transform our health for the better. Giving up sweets can be daunting for many of us. Instead, we use some strategic substitutions, so you can still enjoy your sweet treats in moderation.

Coconut sugar Derived from the sap of coconut tree blossoms, coconut nectar is a low-glycemic (low impact on blood sugar levels) sweetener high in minerals, amino acids, vitamin C, and broad spectrum B vitamins. Coconut sugar is the sap evaporated at high temperatures until it takes on a granular form, which also makes it a great choice for easy, healthier baking

Erythritol Not quite as sweet as table sugar, erythritol is a low-glycemic (low impact on blood sugar levels) sugar alcohol. It is found naturally in some fruits, mushrooms and fermented foods. It also has 0.2 calories per gram, which is just 5% of the calories in sugar. If you’re tracking net carbs, erythritol can be subtracted from total carbs.

HOW SHOULD I STORE MY CHOCOLATE?

Keep your chocolate air-tight and cool. We recommend storing your chocolate in an air-tight container in a cool and dry place. This will preserve the freshness, texture and multi-level flavors and aromas of your chocolate. 

 

If the bars look dull and/or have a whitish coating on them it means that they have come out of temper, due to age and temperature/humidity variations. Chocolate that has come out of temper is safe to eat, it will just not be as enjoyable since the texture changes a bit.

Dirty Bean is dedicated to bringing you only the highest quality products. Your experience is important to us. If you feel the quality of our products is less than expected, please email hello@dirtybeanchocolate.com with an explanation of the issue and we will coordinate a refund or we’ll re-ship you a replacement free of charge.


We do not honor returns, exchanges or refunds if the issue is a matter of personal taste, but do honor replacements for quality issues.

Shipping price is calculated at the time of checkout. Free domestic shipping on orders over $69.

DO YOU SHIP TO MY COUNTRY?
